Amber Wilson serves as a Victim Service Officer for the 7th Judicial Circuit. She has two master’s degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology and a four year in Criminal Justice with minors in Criminology and Law Enforcement. Amber has been a Criminal Justice Instructor for 8 years at Gadsden State community college. Amber worked several years as an Officer at the Calhoun County Sheriff’s office as well. She works with the victims of crimes helping them maneuver through the criminal justice system. She offers emotional support to victims as they are going through the aftermath of whatever crime they have been a victim of. Additionally, she ensures they understand their responsibilities and rights as the case moves through the system. She works very closely with the prosecutors in whatever manner will ease their workload. After a case has been adjudicated, she ensures the victim is connected with the Department of Corrections/Pardon and Parole Board or any other applicable agency. Amber performs other duties as assigned by the District Attorney.
