Susan Pate, Sheri Hill, and Jesse Moses handle all the daily functions of the Restitution Recovery Division. They are responsible for making payment arrangements with Defendants for past due balances owed on court ordered restitution/fines, monitoring restitution payments on criminal cases and preparing restitution dockets for failure to pay. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
WHEN DO RESTITUTION PAYMENTS BEGIN?
Immediately following a conviction and/or the release of the Defendant from jail. Many times a Defendant will be allowed 90 days to make their first payment following the release from jail.
ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES APPLIED TO MY CASE?
When a defendant misses 90 days of payment, whether consecutive or not, a 30% fee is added to the balance at the time the case is turned over to the District Attorney’s Office, Restitution Recovery Division.
WHERE DO I MAIL MY PAYMENTS?
Depending on your case number prefix (which will be referenced on any court document), your payment will be mailed to one of the following addresses. NOTE: All Cleburne County payments are mailed to the Heflin address regardless of the case number prefix.
